Good taste and smell carried Wbéimar Lasso tuned Bolaños, a small farmer in Nariño, to be crowned as the first national champion coffee tasters, above 46 tasters and experts from around the country.
Lasso Bolaños, who received the distinction in Ibague two weeks ago, acknowledges that Narino are not classified as good tasting but says he is the exception for the knowledge he has of grain.
"A normal person would do such tests, but perhaps not find any difference in cafes, then, the difficulty level is pretty high," the Narino.
To be a coffee connoisseur, as Lasso Bolaños, is needed, above all, a good preparation.
